I have been using my neti pot for about a month now and I haven’t had any relief. I am using the right temperature and salt quantity so I don’t think that is the problem. I use my neti pot in the morning and at night and sometimes in the afternoon. I have had allergies and sinus problems for as long as I can remember (I am 21).

Should I give up on the neti? What else can I try? I do not want to take pills and nasal sprays have not helped me.

Thanks.

My son is 18 months old and is ALWAYS sick with a cold. He has been back and forth to the doctor with what they call a “virus”. He would have a fever, and hives that appear and go away on his face. After a fever, for the first time his eyes rolled to the back of his head, his head snapped back and body was stiff for about 20 seconds. He seemed to pass out. The ER said he had a febrile seizure, when demanding an answer as to why he’s been so sick, so often, we keep getting the “day care kid” answer. My son goes to daycare 3 days a week, the same one for the last year with no new kids and no other sick ones. He had been out of the daycare for a week due to traveling. The ER sent us home with amoxicillin for a week and called it sinusitis. Two days after completing the amoxicillin 10 day treatment he started getting hives on his belly, then chin, then head, face, arms, chest, and every where else. They said it was an allergy to amoxicillin (late reaction?) He is now STILL SICK with the pink eye in both eyes, wont eat, nose that runs like a faucet, fussy and wont eat. He has a wet cough and green runny nose and green discharge from eyes. Were giving him benadryl every 6 hours for the past week, they started him on symbicort saying its asthma, and did an alergy test. He is “level 2″ for milk and egg whites. We are currently eliminating all dairy from his diet. Please help…

What cronic problem can cause a sever reaction (migraine, uper respitory symptoms or flu-like symptoms-sometimes lasting 3 days after exproser) to most ANY smells- perfumes, colognes, hairspray, shampoo, clothes soap, permanent markers, fingernail polish/remover, rubber, ect. Besides hyper-sensitivity/
(she also has NO ASTHMA SYMPTOMS)
My daughter (13 years old) was diagnosed with cronic sinusitis 3 1/2 years ago with a treatment plan of avoidence of smells (she had had this problem 3 monthes of age but a “specalist” finally diagnosed her. We think it is something else and are going to bring it up to the doctor. (she is also hypoglaucsemic (SP?) and has Asperger Syndrom.

What do you think? I just want an idea to brinng up.
Thank you
