Sinus Medication Solution

im not even sure wat kind of infection it is. Thick yellow golden mucus with blood in it but only when i wake up in the morning ant at night. ive had it for a month now

during the day, i just get regular clear drainage

My chest feels fine but i do cough sometimes.

any home remedies. can i wait it out

Antibiotics really mess up my bowels so even though I have a prescription for one, I don’t want to use it if I don’t have to. My main symptoms are a nagging cough and sore throat. I have sinus drainage in the back of my throat irritating the throat tissue. This is the 14th day. Any remedies would be greatly appreciated!

My little boy keeps getting these bad headaches and the doctor said after a ct scan that there was “a little” something going on in the sinus area and he was treated with antibiotics, and was headache free for 2 weeks and now it is back. He has no other symptoms other than the headache. I thought sinus infections would at least have a runny nose with it, or being stuffy.

I am in my 40’s and I know what a sinus infection is.
Added: I get sinus infections from time to time and they do run it’s course, but every 10 years or so one persists and will not go away. I’ve had this going on 6 months now. and by the way Mike G, what else would I possibly do with penicillin other than to use it as a cure?

I have had one for 7 years now , I have been treated by G.Ps. and by an E.N.T. specialist. . I have had repeated long doses of antibiotics lke amoxycillin but no avail.I have also had a scan of my paranasal sinuses. Doctors I have seen since have told they are not willing to prescribe anything becasue although the infection makes ny breath smell , it is not caused by pathogens.
