I talk about how I now suspect this was no ordinary sinus infection. I think I have healed on a deeper level than that. Also, I discuss how I woke up this morning and discovered I can eat frozen foods without wincing in pain!! I froze a banana and was planning on eating it very slowly and carefully, but to my amazement I was able to chomp away without any pain, haha! Amazing… Never would have thought that it was possible to get rid of it…I’ve tried toothepastes in the past that say they get rid of sensitivity, but nothing has ever helped. In the past when I would eat ice cream or anything else cold I would have to curl up my lip over my teeth and take small nibbles. Thank you for watching Video Rating: 5 / 5
Question by Angie A: Maxillary sinusitis and tooth extraction?
Is wisdom tooth extraction a common treatment for maxillary sinusitis?
Best answer:
Answer by Cristian F I guess it would depend if the root(s) of one or more of the wisdom teeth are long and are growing into your sinus cavity. I’ve had a molar grow into a sinus before and while the recovery period after extraction tends to be a little more painful than just a regular extraction..if you were having sinus trouble before the extraction…you may be pleasantly surprised when your sinus feels better! A little warning….your dentist may or may not tell you this….but breathing with your mouth closed entirely (after your extraction) my result in your learning that you can actually breath (temporarily) through the hole left by the extraction! If it happens, it will gross you out at first….if you are afraid of this happening and want to avoid it….always keep your mouth partially open when breathing..this causes less suction and decreases the chances of pulling air through the hole! It won’t be an issue once the tissues have healed and the hole fills in….. Well! I’m just warning you!!!
Good luck with it!
Question by Luna’s Mom: Can a sinus infection cause pain on a tooth that has a root canal?
I have a root canal on one of my molars (Got it about 8 years ago). It hurts sometimes, especially if I eat hard things or meat. It is hurting now while I have a sinus infection. Should I see a dentist? It has been 3 days of tooth pain.

Answer by grandpa walleye The pain may indeed be coming from a sinus problem if the tooth is an upper back tooth. It may also be due to the root canal failing or if the tooth is fractured. You should see the dentist and let him do some testing and take an x-ray to see if he can determine the problem. Good luck.

The pain am having now is at my upper tooth where the crown is…The problem is the Dentist cannot seem to find anything wrong even when taking many X-Rays.. I mean the pain is like an infection or decaying tooth as i have experienced this before..
If it is sinus then what can be done?..Whats the treatment? do sinus problems really give toothache (crown)?.
