Can A Doctor Tell If Someone Has A Sinus Infection By Only Looking In Their Ears?

He ended up giving me a prescription for an infection anyway, but I was just wondering… I brought my baby in because I suspected a sinus infection, shouldn’t he have looked up her nose? Could he really evaluate a sinus infection by only looking in her ears?
