Question by PicanteSteVo: can I take Sudafed PE Sinus Headache with Allegra 180?
I think the question says it all, however… I am taking Allegra 180 (generic brand) for allergies. I am DYING from my itchy and runny nose, though. I want to take something for relief, since sometimes I get headaches from constantly sniffing in all the fluid. HELP!

**I understand that any guidance I receive is just that. I will not hold anyone responsible for what I decide to take.**

I am an allergy sufferer and have been on several medications including Allegra 180 or fexofenadine as it is also called. I used to take Allegra-D with a decongestant in it and if you take Sudafed PE along with Allegra 180 it is like taking Allegra-D and Tylenol. The Sudafed PE Sinus Headache is comprised of : acetaminophen 325mg (which is tylenol/pain reliever) and phenylephrine HCl 5mg ( which is a decongestant). The Fexofenadine is an antihistamine which is a different type of medicine and as I said before, it can be taken with a decongestant such as the Sudafed PE. Unfortunately the Sudafed probably won’t help with the itching since it is a decongestant, but it should help dry up your nose. Antihistamines are the medications that are supposed to stop the itching, so that would be the purpose of the Allegra 180. I hope this helps.

Question by Derek: Will robitussin take care of a sore throat?
if not what about sinus relief equate or ibeprofin?

Best answer:

Answer by Helper Monkey
the only thing robitussin ever helped me with was a cough.

Dayquil sinus is the best I found for sinus relief, and cough drops (ricola) for a sore throat.

azithromycin increases a protein in your body called Cytochrom P450, which plays a crucial role in the metabolism of some drugs. Dose adjustment might be necessary for certain class of drugs like heparin, which is a blodd thinner. considering your age and history it should be fine you don’t need any dose adjustments.

Question by Gelvin Dylan: How do I relieve a sinus infection? How can I take care from sinus infections?
How do I relieve a sinus infection? How can I take care from sinus infections?

Best answer:

Answer by summerres
this is straight from the website.
Sinus infections can also be treated by some home remedies. A lot of relief can be obtained by inhaling steam from a vaporizer or a bowl of hot water. Applying a hot or a cold compress over the inflamed area would also provide relief. A decoction of mustard seed powder and water, instilled in the nostrils; eating jalapeno peppers; drinking juice of ripe grapes; applying a paste of cinnamon and water on the forehead; applying paste of ginger and water/milk on the forehead; applying paste of basil leaves, cloves, and dried ginger on the forehead; inhaling steam of eucalyptus oil; and drinking warm tea are all found to be effective in providing some relief. Drinking a lot of water and other fluids would also help. A great deal of rest is also required. However, it is better to consult a specialist if the infection persists.
