Question by Mom2Max: Can anyone offer any pain relief suggestions?
Wrong category, I know – but nobody is in the health category.
I thought I had a toothache. It hurt badly and was causing my sinses to hurt. I went to the dentist. He did an x-ray and found nothing wrong with my tooth, however my sinses were cloudy. I went to my GP (this was yesterday) he gave me a nasal spray, antibiotics, and a steroid pill for the sinus infection and a steroid shot.
My tooth is still killing me though! I guess my sinses had become inflamed and they were pressing on the root of the tooth. Nothing I take will get rid of the tooth pain. Any suggestions?
Again – sorry for posting this here.
Yes, I have tried tylenol, I have even taken 3 ibuprofen. Nothing seems to help. UGH. This is driving me crazy.

Answer by Hippie Tree Hugger Have you tried just a regular OTC pain killer like Advil, Tylenol, or Ibuprofen?

I’ve tried tylenol, even taken 3 ibuprofen – nothing works. This isn’t a pain that oragel will help, it is more ‘in my head’ than topical.

Answer by princesstracybrat1 give the meds a chance to work. They don’t work immediately.
I have a runny nose and severe sinus pressure right behind my eyes and i am afraid to take medicine as we are trying to conceive. I ovulated on the 12th/13th and i am due for my period on the 29th, but i’m hoping it doesn’t come. Anyone able help me out with some ideas to relieve my cold symptoms….at least until i see if aunt flow shows her ugly face this month. ha ha
I’ve been having ear/noise/throat infections on and off for about 6 months now. I’m really unsure as to what the problem could be. I’ve been to different doctors without luck of finding the cause. The first two times they’ve given me antibiotics. During my last recent visit I declined on them. It’s only providing temporary relief. About 3 weeks ago I started to notice a decrease in my swimming performance. That was my sign that the affection was coming back. Sure enough a week later it was back. I’m a little worried about this. My blood temp is normally around 115/72 or something like that. Now it’s around 140/86. This evening it hit to 154/92. That’s extremely high for me. I try to eat right and exercise daily. This is really started to interfere with my daily life.
Looking for suggestions on correction the problem. I had a steam machine breathing thing. That provides temporary relief. Antibiotics get rid of it for about 2 months max. Getting more sleep and changing my lifestyle around was also something I’m trying. Things seem to be getting worse rather than better.
I also should point out that I did take the antibiotics for the entire time that the doctor asked. I don’t want to keep taking them because I don’t want my body giving immune to them. My next idea was going to see a chiropractor.
Yea I meant pressure. No clue why I type temp.
Other systems. Mild dizziness and confusion. I had a clean driving record for 10 years. Today I made a left turn during a red light. For some reason I didn’t realize that was wrong till my friend asked to drive. I laugh but that’s a little scary…
I’ve got this darn ringing in my ears. Sounds like the ring you hear after firecrackers or if someone dropped something. Problem is, it is ongoing. Most annoying. I do have bad sinuses. Right side operates at about 50%. It’s in the family so there’s no getting away from it. I use nasal saline spray but it doesn’t help. I clean my ears with a Q-tip dipped in peroxide, but nothing helps. Any suggestions gratefully received.
