Question by Caught In The Inbetween Of Beautiful Disaster: Sinus infection? when should i go to the dr?
I was having terrible migraines for days in a row last week and then was hit hard by what I think is sinus pressure on Saturday. its behind my eyes across my forehead and in and behind my ears.
It hurts really bad at night, it keeps me from sleeping and I just want to cry. I wake up every 45 mins. During the day I can handle it and ive been taking some mucinx for sinus and that helps. But I get no relief at night, I put my daughters vaporizer in my room but it doesnt help much either.
Also when I blow my nose its a green, yellow color.
My question is when should I see a Dr? I dont have health insurance until the first of the year, so it’ll be alot of money outta my pocket to go. Since its only been 4 days would they be able to do anything anyways?
Or is there a way to get relief at night?
Thank you!

Answer by Sierra Jones you should go to the doctors ASAP. a sinus infection could get worse and effect your ears and give you really bad headaches and a stuffy nose, chest, head, etc…
they will give you antibiotics..
they will probable give you amoxicillin, or zipromax, or something along the lines to treat a sinus infection, and maybe some allergy meds..

Question by San Veezy: What should I take for a sinus infection?
Before you say “go to the doctor”, I have a low premium, high deductible insurance policy, and I haven’t met my deductible yet. Which means a doctor visit will cost me like $ 120 out of pocket, so NO I will not visit a doc for a sinus infection. I do however, have some antibiotics in my medicine cabinet from late last year, not expired- Cefalexin, and Metronidazole.

Answer by Yahoo clear your airways and throat so that a bacterial infection does not happen which will DEF require a doc. right now it could just be viral.

Answer by marla Netty pot is always good. Basically that is rinsing your nose with salt water.
Yes to Vitamin C, Echinacea and Garlic! Helps your body fight the infection.
Yes to soup!
I use a heating pad on my face or take a really hot bath. I avoid things that make my mucus thick if it feels really bad. I eats lots of fruits and veg since they contain so many vitamins and minerals. I do take advil cold and sinus with my anti-biotic to help with the pain and congestion. I try to keep my nose and hands clean so I do not re-infect myself when I star getting better. I avoid ac (I had one hang around all summer once because of the ac. I took 3 days after the weekend off from work so I did not have to sit in it. At that point something gross and sticky which was multicolored came out of my nose and viol-la, I was better. I think I would still be sick if I had not gotten out of the ac. Now its back on and I am getting sick again, WTF.) Get as many Vitamins as possible. I usually take Echinacea and Garlic supplements and Advil Cold and Sinus. I wash it all down with air-borne. Is it a lot, well yeah… But most of it is vitamins, and I never mix cold medicines or take more then needed, just vitamins.

Hi ladies,
I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and I have a horrible cold. I think I might have a sinus infection. I called my doctor and they said they were all booked up until the end of the month. They didn’t give me a list of safe medications to take during pregnancy so I don’t know what to take. Should I just go to a regular MD? Will they give me the right medicine that wont cause harm to the baby? Thanks ladies
