Question by chasing happiness: Home remedy for sinus? or sinusitis ? Or Give me some good medicine? if u can help I know i can go to doctor.?

I really do not like medications OTC or prescribed but as always when I have a cold my sinuses get all stuffed up and well frankly it hurts -_-

Anyone have any home remedies that actually work and are not overly disgusting? (last one someone told me involved snorting warm salt water and blowing it back out my nose….)

You can maybe use some salt water, or peroxide and suck it into your nose(be careful not to choke on it). Tilt your head back and let it set inside your nose for a little while, then BLOW your nose and get it out. Hopefully salt water or peroxide will help dry out the infection. If you can’t find a home remedy to help it, then get on down to the Emergency room and they’ll prescribe you some anti-biotics!

Remember: People used to DIE from a simple infection. So don’t let it go for too long without treating it or you’ll be spending a few days in the hospital with an i.v. drip of antibiotics. You don’t want to be admitted to the hospital, that won’t be fun. So, get it taken care of SOON, hunny!

Question by dirtbike mama: homeopothy remedy for 2.5 month old with sinus infection?
Have 2.5 month old boy with suspected sinus infection. Can hear congestion but no nasal discharge, Sinus drip is gagging him, thick green boogers can be extracted in the AM, rubbing face with hands and on me. He is a very happy content baby so I didn’t notice discomfort right away-I feel he is to young for antibiotics and wanted to try homeopothy but I am not familiar with the remedies or the safety for such a small baby. Any suggestions? Also no fever or change in persona.

I really think you need to take him to the doctor, he is to young to be guessing what might be wrong and to use him as a guinea pig.
If you are hearing congestion,he really needs to see his doctor.
