Answer by HOOK First thing is stop with the Nasal Spray ( especially if it’s afrin ) you will get a rebound effect which will only make things much much worse.
A sinus infection is serious, You say you have no Money or medical insurance, ouch, usually a Doctor will prescribe Amoxicillin or some other antibiotic which will work rapidly.
Ok so, here we are with Sinuses, have you ever heard of the Netti Pot? it’s a little pot device that you fill with sterile water, ( any supermarket has distilled water ) or you can boil water and let it cool,
The netti pot if purchased as a kit comes with a Saline solution , follow instructions for use.
this will get the solution up into the sinus cavities and wash them out,. Done on a regular basis this will help you in the long run
Question by MszGaston: does it sound like sinus problem or a cold?
i’ve been sick over a month (coughing, runny nose, headaches < < esp. light, my ears are clogged) my doctor gave me a zpak (antibiotics) which made it better now my symptoms are less severe ive tooken a bunch of OTC crap (claritin, zyrtect, tylenol sinus) which isnt helping much....i called my doctors nurse (cant afford to keep going to the doctor) and she told me it sounded like sinus problem...i've never had sinus problems and wouldnt know if i still had the cold or if it WAS sinus..then i called a ear doctor because of my clogged ears (which i alread had a problem with) and i was told the same thing..it could be sinuses...i just had a baby 2 weeks and i def need to get better...so does this sound like a long lasting cold or could it be sinuses??? **going the to doc. next week just wanted a lil relief**

Answer by Dowlinggram It does sound like a sinus problem. The nose mouth and ears are all part of the same cavity and a sinus problem can plug the ears. It could be that an allergy is causing your sinus problem too.
I am allergic to dust and cats and when I get a reaction to them my nose plugs solid. Here’s what to do. Get some saline nose spray from the drug store. It works better than all those medicated ones and no chance of getting addicted to it.
Next Fill the bathroom sink with hot water and put a towel over your head, bend over and breathe in the steam–watch the towel doesn’t go in the water.
If it persists then get some Aerius allergy pills or some non drowsy allergy pills and try to figure out what you are allergic to.
