Any recommendations for a sinus infection during pregnancy?Posted by: Alan in Sinus Infection, tags: During, Infection, Pregnancy, recommendations, SinusI’m 3 days shy of the 13 week mark and have a sinus infection, which is making me feel so miserable! My head feels like it’s going to blow up. I had a list of “ok” meds and can’t find it anywhere. I think I took Sudafed once during my last pregnancy. Anyway, I’d like to avoid meds if possible. Any other tips would be very much appreciated!!!

Does anyone know where I can find out if Tylenol cold meds are safe during pregnancy?Posted by: Alan in Sinus Relief, tags: Anyone, Cold, During, Find, Know, Meds, Pregnancy, Safe, TylenolI am 11 weeks pg. I also have a horrendous cold- stuffy nose, sore throat, coughing constantly… does anyone know if Tylenol cold & Flu is safe for me to take, or do you have a resource I can check out to find out? I can’t see my dr till Monday and I need some relief from this cold! I am losing my voice, and can’t just sleep it off, because I have a 4 yo son at home too… I get sinus infections a lot, so I would like to get this cold under control before it becomes a sinus issue… a list of meds I can take safely during pregnancy and a backup source would be appreciated.

Pilonidal sinus disease and pregnancy?Posted by: Alan in Sinus Relief, tags: Disease, Pilonidal, Pregnancy, SinusI have had pilonidal excision surgery seven times now, and am in desperate need of an eighth go around. I have an open sore that drains and bleeds, and I am five months pregnant. No hot baths, no pain meds, no surgeries. Anyone know what to do? My OB-GYN said wait till the baby’s born to deal with it, as did my Colon and Rectal Surgeon (who also recommended a C-section), but I am in pain now. What really sucks is that I can’t sleep on my back or my stomach now! Hurray for me. Although, I never thought I be glad to have my pilonidal sinus bleed – at first I thought something was wrong with the baby. It was a relief to realize that my wound was open again! |
