Question by vichick has two beautiful babies: Remedies for a plugged nose?
I have this dreadful cold, and my nose is terrible congested. Anyone know of some natural remedies or a good brand of decongestant (I tried Sudafed and Tylenol sinus with no luck) to help unplug my nose?
Thanks

Answer by Beau R Try wetting a facecloth in hot water. Wring it out, and hold it over your nose, so that the heat can be absorbed through the skin.
Question by dangrn77: what are good natural remedies if you have a plugged up ear?
i know most poeple say go see a doctor but i don’t have health insurance right now so that’s out of the question, I have allergies and sinus problems but those are under control but my right ear has been plugged up for a week and its really annoying.

I have been stuffed up for 2 weeks.. I cannot smell, or taste.. When i blow my nose, my ears stop up.. I cannot unstop them!! I went to the doc, and he prescribed me amoxicillin. I have been taking it for 6 days.. I have no relief.. Still cant taste, smell, breathe…. Not so worried about the ear stuff.. but i need some suggestions, as the antibiotics are not working i think.. Thank you…
My left ear is plugged up and every now and then my jaw hurts but I do not have a cold or sinus infection . This has been going on for close to a week now. it does not hurt so I do not necessarily think I need to see the doctor. I would love to hear some ideas as far as home remedies. I already tried blowing my nose and holding my nose and blowing. Please help, this is really annoying!!
Also, I should probably add that I have been having the chronic runny nose that I usually have when the weather gets cold.
As stated above those are my symptoms. Among occasionally having something close to a hot flash for lack of better words. The only relief so far is to stand in the shower. I obviously have a life to live so therefor I can’t stand in the shower 24/7. I’m contemplating a trip to Wallgreens. Or some sort of pharmacy. Any suggestions for something I can purchase over the counter…any other remedies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
