Question by rosebud: Anyone have a sure fire home remedy for sinus pain with a cold (no fever)?
I can’t take decongestants because of bp meds. I’ve taken Corcidin HBP for colds and Excedrin, but the headache and facial pain just won’t go away. A hot shower gave me relief for about 15 minutes. It’s been two days now, and it’s not getting any better. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I think I’ll go out and pick up a neti pot. It seems that many of you have had success with it. Thank you all for your answers.

Question by Mom2Max: Can anyone offer any pain relief suggestions?
Wrong category, I know – but nobody is in the health category.
I thought I had a toothache. It hurt badly and was causing my sinses to hurt. I went to the dentist. He did an x-ray and found nothing wrong with my tooth, however my sinses were cloudy. I went to my GP (this was yesterday) he gave me a nasal spray, antibiotics, and a steroid pill for the sinus infection and a steroid shot.
My tooth is still killing me though! I guess my sinses had become inflamed and they were pressing on the root of the tooth. Nothing I take will get rid of the tooth pain. Any suggestions?
Again – sorry for posting this here.
Yes, I have tried tylenol, I have even taken 3 ibuprofen. Nothing seems to help. UGH. This is driving me crazy.

Answer by Hippie Tree Hugger Have you tried just a regular OTC pain killer like Advil, Tylenol, or Ibuprofen?

Question by : Need serious pain relief for someone with a sensitive stomach!!?
I have an ear and sinus infection that i can’t seem to get rid of. I have been taking more than the recommended dose of tylenol for over 2 weeks now because of the excruciating pain i have been in especially at night. I am starting to have adverse effects of all the tylenol i’ve been taking. I really need something that i can’t to get rid of this horrible pain that wakes me up at night and i would prefer OTC medications. Also something where i take 2 things to avoid stomach upset would be fine with me. I just need something i am miserable! PLEASE HELP!!!
i forgot to add that i have done one round of antibiotics already and hoping to get another today because the issues isn’t going away

Answer by Bro. Hill You probably need some antibiotics if it’s been going on this long. OTC pain relief is just masking one symptom.
But, if you’re insistent on doing some OTC drugs, see if you have a compound pharmacy in your area. They can mix drugs into a topical ointment that will adsorb into your skin.
