Hi! I just posted this as an answer to another question, and I think it could pertain here. I am not sure if this is what you are searching for but here goes..

Greetings!

Have you ever tried using Allercetin Allergy and Sinus tablets. They help fight allergies, sinus congestion and headaches. You can find these at any vitamin store, or order online at stores like naturalpharmacy.com

A community service video for all of you who have had to live with sinus pain and infections. I did this only a few times and I felt better. I do it every week or so just to be careful. Use clean water and salt with no iodine. Check out the website where I got the info: www.medhelp.org
Video Rating: 5 / 5

I am very happy with the result, a week later. The process was painful in the early days, but very carefully everything is going well. Now I can smell again, this is very important for me because I always had a great smell, and I think that is coming back. Thanks for the love of all, I am available for any question that you may have. Send me, I’m answering many … make yours too. See you!

Question by KLD it.: Is the neti-pot an over the counter gimmick, or does it work?
I have a chronic sinus infcetion/cold that will not give me any relief. I’m going to see a specialist but in the mean time I need some relief from a sinus head ache. I’ve had two doses of prescription strength ibuprofen, (about 1000mg total,) this morning. After two hours still no relief from the pain.

Someone suggested I try the saline nose tea pot thing. And idk it’s been reccomended to me before but I never wanted to try it. It seemed ridiculous to me and just a gimmick to clean out your nasal passages. Could the neti pot help me with the severe pain I feel right now? Can you reccomend anything else?

GIMMICK don’t waste your money. People have been doing that in India for thousands of years with out a ‘Netti’ pot. Just mix salt with warm water in a dish or cup and slowly snort it. Play with how much salt at first. Not to much to start. It should SLIGHTLY burn but not be painful. It should taste like tears NOT like the ocean. I do this when i get a cold. Do it four/six times a day. The salt kills the bacteria. If it doesn’t get better in a few days go to the doctor again.

Question by Rg Dfg: How do i get over Rhinitis Medicamentosa(nasal spray addiction)?
i have been using a nasal spray of phenylephrine hydrochloride 1% for some time now. it’s gotten so bad that the spray doesn’t even have any effect anymore. i went to the doctors to seek help and he prescribed me loratadine 10mg tablets and nasonex. However these medications do not seem to be working and i am desperate to find relief for the sinus congestion. Is there anything i can do or any over the counter medication that i can take but will not worsen the phenylrphrine addiction?

Start doing crystal meth. You will become addicted to that and your other addiction will not matter.

Question by Ashley: Will driving over high elevations worsen my sinus infection?
I had plans to go to my dad’s house this weekend, but yesterday I went to the doctor and found out I have a sinus infection. I’m on antibiotics and such, so will driving over the pass make anything worse, or will it be fine?
