Question by mommy jaycee: Im 8 months pregnant and have a cold, is there anything natural to take to make me feel better?
I called the pharmacy and they said since I’m in my 3rd trimester its not safe to take anything. Ive mostly got sinus congestion. Any good home remedies to take that are safe?

Antibiotics can stop being effective if you take them a lot. Then you have to switch to something stronger. Do you smoke? If so, stopping will make them gradually go away and in 5 years you won’t get them anymore.

Question by Aran Mm: Is it likely or even possible for a sinus infection to last over two months?
I’ve had what I believe is a sinus infection since Halloween, which makes it about two months now.

I still have the symptoms, so I am wondering: maybe this isn’t an infection, maybe I have allergies, nasal polyps or deviated septum?

Or maybe it is just an infection, can they last that long?

Thanks

sinus infections can last for months, see if your doc can put you on some powerful antibotics thats should get rid of it in a few weeks, also try to get some decongestant spray that helps some

Question by Nin10dude: Sinus problems for months (or years?)?
So.. My nose/sinus is almost always stuffed. One side is normally blocked, and if I blow my nose, normally I won’t have anything come out. If one side clears up, then the other side blocks up, usually within hours.

I remember having times when my nose was cleared, both I lost track of when it wasn’t at a half a year. And no, I’m not having an abnormally long cold. When I do get one, I can barely breathe. When I go to sleep, I snore because I can’t breathe with just my nose. I’m not allergic to anything, but of course, dust and pollen can make anyone have allergic inflammation. Just not this long.

I’ve tried steam, exercise, menthol, camphor, eucalyptus, cough drops, vapors, rubs, bands, and other things, but relief is only temporary. How can I maintain that feeling of a “cleared” sinus for longer? Maybe a couple weeks? Or a year? I can’t even sing like I used to because of my sinus. I’ve had this problem for a while, but it never went away.
