Question by Paul S: I recently went to the doctors and was given a Z-Pack for a sinus infection now I have a red rash on my chest?
This past week I was feeling pretty sick so I went to the doctors and was given a Z-Pack for a sinus infection, last night I took the first dose and woke up this morning with light red dots on my chest and maybe some really lite ones on my face. Should I stop taking Z-Pack? If so, will I still get better? I don’t want it to get worse.

Answer by nicole Yes!!!!!! If you honestly think that the rash started just after you took it!!!!!! The thing about zpack that people like is not so many pills. But u only take it for 5 days and it stays in your system for 14. It could progressly get worse. But watch signs of swollen tounge or shotness of breath. So if I were you I would call the doctors office that gave it to me and tell them to give you something else also tell them to make sure they put in your chart that you have a possible allergy to macrolide antibotics!!!! And take some benedryl!!!

Answer by WMR30 Sounds like it to me, but mine are much worse! I get BAD headaches, face pain, stuffy/runny nose, and ear popping. Sinus infections are not fun!
Question by rofltofl: Can a sinus infection cause a toothache?
I had read somewhere that a toothache is possible with a sinus infection, is this true?
I have had this sinus infection since the beginning of this week, and my tooth seemed to start hurting a little after the sinus infection. How do I stop the pain? :l

Answer by Dani It is actually possible, I’m discovering that from experience at this very moment. If possible, take sinus medication. I did that this morning after three days of little rest due to a massive headache/toothache, and I had near immediate relief.
Question by louthechris: What is a “liver friendly” antibiotic for a sinus infection?
I was a heavy drinker for over 20 years and have only been sober for one month so far. I suspect my liver is pretty beat up.
I am very wary about things like Tylenol, and antibiotics. I have a nasty, lingering sinus infection….My doctor prescribed Zitromax, but I’m afraid of taking it (…part of the problem also is telling my doctor about the drinking part…I have personal reasons for that…)
Is there an antibiotic safe for the liver, or something else to knock out this sinus infection?
