Question by CHEYENNE C: i need a good homemade remedy for sinus infection i have it real bad acn you help me?
Best answer:
Answer by Daft One You can maybe use some salt water, or peroxide and suck it into your nose(be careful not to choke on it). Tilt your head back and let it set inside your nose for a little while, then BLOW your nose and get it out. Hopefully salt water or peroxide will help dry out the infection. If you can’t find a home remedy to help it, then get on down to the Emergency room and they’ll prescribe you some anti-biotics!
Remember: People used to DIE from a simple infection. So don’t let it go for too long without treating it or you’ll be spending a few days in the hospital with an i.v. drip of antibiotics. You don’t want to be admitted to the hospital, that won’t be fun. So, get it taken care of SOON, hunny!

I’ve had an esphagael test, asthma tests, acid reflux medications, inhalers, but nothing works. A CT Scan showed one sinus is quite blocked, but the ENT said that wouldn’t cause this cough. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or know someone who has had a similar prolonged cough and what they did for relief?

Answer by jandy get sinus or throat culture before next round of antibiotics, Home remedy is chicken soup/ orange juice, Warm saline nasal rinses, can use McNeil Sinus rinse, has salt and pinch of baking soda so it won’t burn. Nyquil, has diphenhydramine or Benadryl in it, will dry you up. salt water gargles, tea’s, bland foods. Vit C/ Zinc 100mg, stay hydrated. could be virus, it’s been going around, so wash your hands, keyboard and cellphone, change toothbrush when well. doubt bacteria mutated, but, you might not have had the right antibiotic and doc should have cultured you first, they are the first ones to not want to treat sinus inf with antibiotics and then they do it anyway. The docs need to follow their own advice and shut up and start being truthful with the public. He shouldn’t have guessed, cause that’s exactly how resistant bacteria works. he probably gave you 5 day Z pack and it killed off enough staph or upper resp flora, try some yogurt or Kefir, tangy yogurt from health food store, to restore gut bacteria or eat green vegies for the same effect.
