Can a sinus infection cause forgetfulness?
Posted by: Alan in Sinus Infection, tags: Cause, forgetfulness, Infection, Sinus10 yr. old daughter was a straight A student, but her grades have been slipping in the last couple of weeks. Nothing new going on at home or at school. She says she just forgets to bring an assignment home or to complete it according to the directions she’s been given. Very unlike her. The only thing going on in the last couple of weeks has been illness — first, a high fever and sore throat and now, a sinus infection, which she is being treated for. I don’t know what else could be causing this.
She is a very serious student and takes immense pride in her honor roll status. Her teachers have always commented on her intensity as a student and how she always goes the extra mile, on her own, with an assignment or project. In fact, some of her teachers have said she should relax more and not be so hung up on her grades. Neither my DH or I have ever pushed her for grades … never had to. She’s always had very high expectations for herself academically. These last two weeks are definitely uncharacteristic of her.
