Question by Chad_1_1: why do people assume all drugs have no good uses?
I have severe allergies and I take clartin with pseudoedphrine. I don’t understand how pseudoedphrine is so bad it has to be regulated like methadone. It takes 1 tablet a day to get relief but if I take other newer “better, safer” decongestents and antihistimines it take multiple doses of 4 or 5 medications which basically just makes someone so high they don’t notice the sinus pain. I don’t see how that is safer than just taking a few milligrams of 2 medicines once a day.

Pseudoephedrine is regulated not because there’s anything bad or unsafe about it, per se, it’s because of what you can do with it.

People make methamphetamines (crystal meth) using pseudoephedrine (and a cocktail of other chemicals), so they limit how much you can buy at a time so people don’t have meth labs in their basements.

As long as you’re using the Clairtin-D as marked, it is perfectly safe.
