Answer by Kable Devidus I use to have major sinus problems myself, and yes, a sinus infection can cause major dizziness and light headiness. Now, if it gets really bad, to a point where you can’t really stand, I’d recommend seeing a doctor.
Question by Louise Christie: i have facial sinus pain with tinitus and dizziness?
i have had tinnitus for about 6 Month just woke up with it. for the last three month i have been having ‘dizzy spells/heavy head’, i have pain under my eyes and in my temples with a constant feeling that i need to pop my ears. nothing really comes down my nose but if i pop my ears i will get pressure in my nose then a whistle/popping and the elevates for a short time. the tinnitus i can cope with but its is the dizziness/heavy head feeling and the temple pressure that really get me down .
i have tried sudafed, antihistamine, amoxicillin, flixonase, serc, stemitil, ibuprofen all with little effect, i have tried saline nasal washout gives very temporary relief, the only time my dizziness is gone is first thing on a morning and when i am in a car. I am desperate for some advice and terrified it might be something bad any help would be appreciated

Answer by Adjeak I This sounds dreadful!
You really need a good ears, nose and throat doctor.
Try bonine or dramamine to deal with the dizziness. You might have to go to a scopalamine patch.
While your specialist is treating you, also try eating the blandest diet you can think of. Get a humidifier or air purifier for your bedroom, and really make use of it. Wash your pillow cases and sheets with the mildest soap you can find. See if you can’t get all the allergens you can out of your life. Banish pets to another room at night. Stop using perfume or scented soap or shampoo of any kind. Ask your friends, roommates, etc to do the same.
It might be that allergies or some environmental irritant is compounding your sinus problem. Work on that part, and see if that helps at all.
I have been feeling bad for a few days now but its getting worse. Ive been drinking lots of water and resting. My heart is beating so fast its making it harder to breathe and Im getting really dizzy. My nose is stuffy but running and my head and face feel like a balloon. Can a sinus infection cause all this?
