Sinus Medication Solution

I feel like I have a cold but my doctor says it’s a sinus infection. What’s the difference? How do they differ in the length of time they last? Sources?

Or are they one in the same?

How can you tell the difference? Without going to your doctor, I have had a “sinus infection” or head cold for 7 days now. It is getting better though and I have not been on any antibiotics, but I am still extremely stuffed up (especially my ears) How can you tell the difference if it’s bacterial or viral? Thanks.

My horse has a runny nose, and the vet thinks he has a sinus infection. How will he cure him? Is this a big problem? There is a chance that there may be fluid in his lungs. How is this cured? Is this serious please help!
