Sinus Medication Solution

Question by Fring: Urgent Care clinic charged 00 for a 30 minute treatment including 2 tests, is that fair?
Went to the Baptist Medical Plaza , urgent care clinic (not ER) in Miami area for Sinusitis treatment which took about 30 minutes in including doctor’s examination, FLU test and Chest X-RAY.

Here are the details sent by the Clinic

X-Ray : Clinic charges $ 403 , Lab charges $ 202
Flu Test : Clinic Charges: $ 109 , Lab charges: $ 200
Urgent Care visit/diagnostic charges: $ 1800

When I asked why there were two separate charges for each test, they said Clinic charge was for taking sample and sending to the Lab and lab charge was for perform the test. When I asked what sample they took on X-RAY, the operator wouldnt answer.

I also think that $ 1800 for just stepping in, get examed by the doctor and coming out it is way too much

What is your opinion in this regard ?

its very expensive. talk to the billing dept about negotiating a payment plan or lowering the cost
