I tried SaltAire Sinus Relief (this one http://www.amazon.com/SaltAire-Sinus-Rel… because I was only able to breathe out of one nostril…it would rotate every hour or so between nostrils. It was driving me nuts, and it was also affecting the quality of my sleep, since I wasn’t getting enough oxygen.
First it goes straight into my throat when I squirt it into either nostril–and I read up on doing this before attempting it, so I know to lean forward over the sink and everything. It goes into my nose and I can taste it in the back of my throat.
It works, but only for a few hours. My nose is clear, I can breathe out of both nostrils. But after a few hours, only one nostril is clear. While that one nostril is more clear than the one nostril was before the cleansing, the other nostril is completely blocked–before I could at least breathe through the “inactive” nostril a tiny bit.
What’s up with that? Do I need to keep doing it twice a day (that’s what the bottle says)?
It also stinks my nostrils a tiny bit, not really enough to use the word “stings” though, maybe just irritates? My nose feels tender, like it does when you’ve had a cold three days in a row and it’s worn out from excessive blowing.
No one sells neti pots in my area, so I’m ordering one of those online to try a salt water solution.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
