It could be inflammation. I used to take Amoxicillan growing up, so it no longer is effective for me. Use a humidifier to help keep you from drying out, especiallly if you are on decongestants. Call a pharmacist and get his or her advice

Question by blame it on the a-a-alcohol: Will a sinus infection clear up on it’s own with out antibiotics?
I went to the doctor cuz I’ve had a cough for the past couple weeks, and they said I have a sinus infection. They gave me amoxicillin ( a type of antibiotic) but I’d rather not take it if I don’t have to. Will it clear up on it’s own without the medicine? How long will it take?

If it is viral, it clears up on its own. If it is bacterial, you need antibiotics. Either way, you have to take your chance.

Question by Me: I’ve been taking antibiotics for my sinus infection for about 5 days, stomach is still upset off and on?
All my other symptoms of the sinus infection have cleared, and I have not had a single problem with my nose throughout the course of these antibiotics or even the week before that. My swollen glands have gone down, my throat and my eye quit hurting. And my stomach doesn’t hurt after taking the antibiotics, it does it at any time. Any ideas? Is it still the sinus infection that’s causing the pain?

There are over 300 different antibiotics and antibiotic kills the friendly bacteria in your intestines.
Live digestive enzymes heal and every single cell in your body needs live digestive enzymes to break down undigested food we eat. You should chew your food well to create saliva which is live enzymes.

Question by musiqschild: Could the antibiotics be to blame?
Two months ago I had a short term dose of antibiotics to treat my sinus infections which had gotten out of control.
Two weeks ago I realize I had a UTI and despite homeopathic treatments. I ended up on antibiotics again for a week. I finished the antibiotics on Wednesday past… and now I am sick. The UTI is gone but I seem to have a bad attack of sinusitis and a mild case of the flu. Limb aches, headaches… my chest feels as if its filled with phlegm or water and I feel so fatigue.
How do I treat this?
The last thing I want to do is go on antibiotics again… and I feel miserable.

Oh gosh thats a lot to happen but youre right its the antibiotics. I would get on some good probiotics to get the good bacteria built up in your system.

Also I would take Uva Urse to help your bladder funtion properly along with your kidneys. You have a lot of toxins built up from the meds and your body is trying to get rid of them.

Eatting foods like blueberries and other antioxidants will boost your immune system.

With over 17 million patients treated each year for sinus problems, researchers report that physicians are over treating both acute and chronic sinus inflammation, as compared to published treatment guidelines.
