Why Does Amoxicillin Not Seem To Be Working For My Child’s Sinus Infection?

He has been on amoxicillin for 5 days now and I haven’t seen much improvement, except his nose isn’t constantly running. Still has a sore throat and congested head and is very very irritable. Any suggestions?
