Question by TwinkaTee: Any advice on how to cure my cold/allergies/flu – WHATEVER?!?!?!?
I have been sick since Sunday night. My major symptoms are stuffy nose, pain in my sinuses, fatigue, ears are itchy, and sometimes I have a sore throat. I thought it might be allergies, so I took Claritin for 3 days, with no relief. Beginning Wed night, I took Nyquil and as of this moment, I AM WORSE than yesterday. I have no fever, so it is not an infection. Does anyone have any ideas on how to treat this??

Question by Khklh: I have a stomach virus or flu, any advice on relief?
My sisters caught some sort of stomach thing and I happen to catch it also. I woke up at 6:00 in the morning yesterday to find myself in extreme agonizing pain. I have felt hot all day, not sure if it’s from my raging allergies/sinuses, or a fever from the virus. I took a mintox stomach reliever around 7:30, only an hour and a half after I woke up from sick stomach pains. I’m not sure if it did anything but here’s my problem.

My sisters were both able to throw up, and as time should tell, throwing up makes you feel a ton better when you’re sick with a stomach bug. Well I never did. I had about an hour interval where I kept running to the bathroom thinking I was going to throw up. I had the saliva build up, and the acid building up in my throat. But I never vomited. Now my stomach has been hurting real bad lately. I think the acid burnt it up and made it sour, but it is definitely torn up.

Is it safe without reprecussions to not throw up when everyone else was with a stomach bug? How can I relieve my symtoms? I sipped on some coke earier, and just now ate 2 pieces of bread and drank a cup of water. Is it normal to be sick feeling for almost 24 hours?

Question by dokomo: Help, I need an allergy relief advice…?
I go thorough this every year Spring and Fall. My doctor prescribed me medicines (natural remedy herb pills), and Nati pot twice a day. I knew the allergy season was coming up, so I started off early. But the same result. My lung is tight and hard of breathing which I am not getting enough Oxygen making me exhausted all day all night. I have a huge sinus pressure around my eyes. No runny nose, no sneezing.

I am also following many advice I’ve read over the course of years on prevention (do not open windows, take shower before the bed time, take off clothes/shoes at the door, no carpet in the house, use plastic bags for the bedding, clean house, do not use harsh chemicals, etc, etc).

NAET also did not work for me by one chiropractic cost me fortune. I found another NAET trained professional in town cost $ 550 including 4 follow up. But now I am very skeptical.

advice please.

Have you actually tried any regular allergy relief medication? Zyrtec and Benedryl are actually very affective. However Benedryl is a drowsy causing medication. Zyrtec and Loratadine are good for day time allergies. ive dealt with this stuff all my life. im deathly allergic to dandelions, so ive had to experiment with a lot of medication. how ever if you live close to anywhere where they do alot of farming, or if you live near any airports or anything these can be highly effective to your situation. try these if you would like. if it doesnt work im sorry, but no harm in trying.
