Question by Luna’s Mom: Can a sinus infection cause pain on a tooth that has a root canal?
I have a root canal on one of my molars (Got it about 8 years ago). It hurts sometimes, especially if I eat hard things or meat. It is hurting now while I have a sinus infection. Should I see a dentist? It has been 3 days of tooth pain.

The pain may indeed be coming from a sinus problem if the tooth is an upper back tooth. It may also be due to the root canal failing or if the tooth is fractured. You should see the dentist and let him do some testing and take an x-ray to see if he can determine the problem. Good luck.

Sometimes you need antibiotics as the sinus can become infected. Try using a small heat pack with a few drops of lavender on it on your sinus area. This will help ease the pain but if the pain continues you need to see a doctor for some antibiotics

Question by curlyninja1256: Can a sinus infection mess up with your taste?
My doctor told me I have an earache from sinus drip and a likely sinus infection. I have a nasty cough, and I noticed today that after I drink water I have the light taste of pancake syrup. I heard that sinus problems can do that. I also heard that if you have a sweet taste in your mouth that you’re going into diabetic shock.

Question by jt: Do I have sinusitis/pink eye?
Yesterday I woke up with a very red left eye and it was extremely crusty (never happened before). My throat was extremely sore and irritated, or when it wasn’t irritating I had a running nose. This morning my eyes were fine, but I had a sinusitis headache and my ears felt completely plugged (and still do).

Any treatment suggested besides antibiotics? I took some medicine over the last few days but it has had no affect on me. The antibiotics have helped but not all that much. The more sleep I get, the worse I feel.

I have actually had a similar problem and suggest you use some eye drops to clear any bacteria from your eyes. If it does not work, see a doctor as they will administer a special treatment.
