I am pregnant and with the weather change they are kicking up again and bad. Any home remedies I can try? My doc said no sinus meds.

You might try a humidifier in your room at night, warm compresses on your face when you have discomfort.

You can safely take tylenol and benadryl when you are pregnant. Just start pulling up drug names online and look for pregnancy category B drugs.

warm moist washcloth on your sinuses. breath in the steam. try warm saline rinses of the nasal cavities – bend over the sink until your nostrils point upward. take one of those rubber bulbs typically used to pull snot from a babies nostrils. use it to squirt the warm salt water into the nose. let the stuff drain out and repeat on both sides until you’ve gone through a cup of the solution. this helps with all sorts of sinus troubles including infection. good luck.

Along with the above suggestions, also try the “Neti Pot”. It works really well. I am a long time sinus suffering and it got much worse when I was pregnant with my two children. It’s a natural remedy and easy to use b/c the mixture comes in the package for you.
