I have a horrible sinus and throat infection, can anyone help?

I can only take tylenol and sudafed. Does anyone have any remedies I can try? My throat feels like it will start bleeding if I try to talk!! It hurts to breath!! I went to the doctor this morning, he couldn’t do anything but continue my antibiotic and tell me to take tylenol and sudafed. Someone help, PLEASE!!!!! Hot and cold towels have helped a little. Hot tea is too nasty.
I’ve also been using simply saline.

The joys of pregnancy and no good OTC remedies! I feel for you, my cousin’s gf had tonsilitis pregnant and was not a happy camper. Can you try popsicles? At least they are cold and are liquid. One thing you can ask about is a throat lozenge w/numbing properties, as pregnant women are allowed novocaine for dental procedures (or at least were last time I was pregnant a few years ago) so perhaps there is a Sucrets type of thing you can have. Or even baby orajel or something. Ask your doctor to think outside the box.

If you boil some water and put anything herbal in there, and stand over it and breathe in the steam, it will help a lot. My mom does this all of the time when she is sick and she feels SO much better. I’ve tried it once and it does work. I’m also pregnant, so I know how it feels to be sick and not be able to take anything. I suggest you try this. Also, keep very hydrated, drink plenty of fluids. You don’t want to become dehydrated at this point. Goodluck, sorry if I couldn’t help.
