Butterbur, a member of the rhubarb family, gives more relief a placebo, Butterbur’s equaled the effectiveness of the prescription allergy drug Zyrtec.
It’s all 100% natural. Free info from the link below.

Please read this response in its entirety because what you don’t know CAN hurt you.
The smartest and healthiest way to lose weight is to avoid “processed free glutamate”, a neurotoxic flavor enhancer that’s both harmful and addictive to all humans. You won’t be able to know in which foods to find it in because the FDA allows companies to let it be unlabled, so you, as a smart consumer, must know the ingredients and foods that contain it (see below). MSG is just one of those many ingredients. FYI, consumption of processed free glutamate has been linked to Obesity, Migranes, Headaches (which you’re suffering from), Learning Disabilities, Sleep Disorders and many more health problems that the health industry doesn’t want you to know so that all those food/beverage corporations as well as your doctors will make big $$ while your health goes down.
The FDA claims that all glutamate (including processed free glutamate) is generally safe, but then why do independent studies prove that it’s a toxic? Also, you’ll see sodium and fat measured on labels even if there’s none at all, but you won’t see glutamate labeled and measured even though the food/beverage contains it.
The FDA also claims that all glutamate is natural, but, in reality, the processed free glutamate that’s hidden is not the same glutamate that you’d find in natural, unprocessed foods such as tomatoes and mushrooms. So, because of the FDA’s deceptive rules and regulation, you’ll even find processed free glutamate in ingredients such as “natural flavor/flavors”.
Yes, even some whole wheat breads contain that neurotoxin through the use of malted barley flour and yeast extract.
Check out http://www.msgtruth.com/avoid.htm for the complete list of ingredients/foods to avoid.
And check out http://www.msgmyth.com for more information about how harmful and addictive glutamate consumption can be to your health!
FYI, just by avoiding all those foods with hidden “processed free glutamate”, I’ve lost at least 20 pound in 5 months and I’ve stopped getting a runny nose.
If you stick to that kind of a truly smart diet, you’ll not only save a lot of money (by being less hungry and going to the doctor less), but also become healthier!
And, don’t forget: Knowledge is power!

You don’t need antibiotics and you don’t need allergy medicine because it sounds like you have a bad cold not allergy or infection.
For the symptoms,, take an over the counter NSAID to help with headache, fever and sore throat. You can take an over the counter med with pseudoephedrine for the drainage. In addition, drink LOTS of water. If you need help with the sinus pressure, boil a pot of water with some rosemary…and then take the pot off the stove and put a towel over your head and the pot and breathe the steam. You could also sit in the bathroom with the shower running all the way on hot and breathe that steam for relief of pressure and also the sore throat. Wash your hand constantly, especially each time after you blow your nose or sneeze so as not to spread the cold to your baby. Try to get rest (fat chance with a baby I know…but try) and get your hands on some chicken broth. It is easy to digest nutrition and the steam will also help the sinuses. Will feel good on the sore throat. If within 10 days your symptoms show NO improvement, then it is time to head to the doc. I’m including a link to an article that explains the differences between allergy, cold, etc
