Is this sinus infection going to go away on it’s own?

I’ve had a sinus infection for about 2 weeks now. started a z-pack (antibiotic) on the second day and it didn’t do much of anything. i still have a lot of snot, but feel better in general. Is it viral and going to resolve itself or is it bacterial and going to start eating my brain? How will i know if I need more antibiotics?

I had a similar experience earlier this year. The doctor’s gave me antibiotic’s and it didn’t go away. The second time I went they tested me and found out it was a bacterial infection. They gave me some antibiotic that I had to take for 2-3 weeks straight to get rid of it. I would go and get yourself tested to see if its bacterial
