What is the difference between 200X and 200C for Homeopathic remedies?

“X” indicates a 10 time dilution so 200X would be a 1:10 dilution done 200 times.
“C” indicates a 100 time dilution so 200C would be a 1:100 dilution done 200 times.
That being said, the difference between them as far as the impact would be that a 200C would have a bigger impact on the body than a 200X because Homeopathic products stimulate the immune system responses similar to the idea of vaccinations, but work in a different way. The skeptics don’t like to accept the idea, but scientific tests have been done (with heavy water and spectral analysis, IIRC) that show that water actually can retain a “memory” of what was in it. I can’t find the link with the research off hand, but I’ll post it if I find it.

Really there’s no difference. They’ll be no original molecules left of whatever was diluted in the first one, when compared to the second one.
All homeopathic mixtures are so diluted they contain only water. An example:
“A popular homeopathic treatment for the flu is a 200C dilution of duck liver, marketed under the name Oscillococcinum. As there are only about 10 to the power of 80 atoms in the entire observable universe, a dilution of one molecule in the observable universe would be about 40C. Oscillococcinum would thus require 10 to the power of 320 more universes to simply have one molecule in the final substance.”
Crazy huh?
Edit: The research showing that water had a memory is actually pretty lame; that memory lasts a fraction of a nanosecond (so it’ll be all gone way before you can get it to your lips!)
Those with a poor understanding of science think this is ‘evidence’, if it were true then your drinking water will ‘remember’ being full of poo!

You aren’t very likely to find a 200X.
The common potencies are 6C, 30C, 200C, 1M
and 6X, 12X, 24X (or D in Europe).
Along with the dilution factors (already mentioned as 1:10 for X, and 1:100 for C) there is also the issue of succussion (shaking with impact) that potentizes the remedy. Dilution alone is not sufficient to produce the remedy.

X means a 1/10 dilution….200 means it is done 200 times
C means a 1/100 dillution…again 200 means it is done 200 times.
Both of these dilutions are effectively magnitudes greater than Avogadro’s number…which means there is not a chance that there is a single molecule of whatever the original “remedy” was. They are both effectively water, diluted in water, diluted in water, diluted in water…etc. Ad infinitum.
Another writer contends that it is not the dilution of the homeopathic “remedy” that is the source of its effectiveness, but the magical shaking. Ooops, I meant Succussion. Unfortunately there is not a shred of evidence to support the notion that magic shaking makes water “remember” whatever molecule it has passed through. It is just a mystical notion and a post hoc pseudo-rationalization.
Homeopathy is one of the silliest of the Altie practices…and that is saying a lot.

200X is the same as a 100C dilution. 200C is a dilution ratio of 10 to the power of 400. As there are only about 10 to the power of 80 atoms in the entire observable universe, a dilution of one molecule in the observable universe would be about 40C.
As you can see, homeopathy is preposterous.
