It’s usually alot more common to have pain around your eyes/forehead/cheeks when you have a sinus infection, but sometimes when I have a sinus infection I get headaches in my temples and the rest of my head.
Sometimes just whatever medicine you take for any other headache helps. If it’s sinus related, sometimes warm steam helps.
Chances are if you were diagnosed with a sinus infection your doctor prescribed antibiotics. If you take them and the pain ends up going away, then no need to worry. But if the pain persists after you’ve finished your prescription, it might be something else.

Afrin nasal spray few days, Ibuprofen 600mg every 6-8 hours, heat or ice pack. sudafed original, 120mg 2x a day. Mucinex 1200mg 2x daily, go to http://ghorayeb.com, lots of pics/info on sinus etc. also, get neilmed sinus rinse, use w warm water, irrigate 2-3 x a day leaning over sink. If doing it right, water comes out your nose, don’t squeeze too hard, can get plugged ears, sinusitis can be chronic, relapse, did he do a CT sinus? causes teeth to hurt, body aches, neck ache, then you get a tension headache. Fiorinal helps w this.
Did he give you antibiotics are steroid nasal sprays? the best is the sinus rinse, fastest way to reduce bacterial load in nose/sinuses, it’s gross, but so what. works faster than antibiotics, which don’t always reach the sinuses or obtain high enough blood levels, maybe 60-70% might get to sinuses. can have eye pain, cheek, teeth/neck and shoulder pain, irritability, cough from post nasal drip. halitosis. try to quit smoking if you do. you won’t regret it. Feel better soon,

I’ve never had my temples hurt, but last year I had the mother of all sinus infections and above my eyes (forehead) hurt, under my eyes hurt, my upper teeth hurt, between my eyes hurt, it was horrible. I suppose it is possible that your temples would ache. For relief, go to the store and buy advil cold and sinus. It actually gave me a great deal of relief as long as I kept taking it.
