I’ve been sick over a month and have developed a sinus infection. The medication my doctor prescribed finished yesterday…….Is there any way of getting relief? I feel dizzy sometimes, i get sinus pressure around my eyes and head…have gas in my stomach…..and feel nauseous.

If that is the medicine, then sounds like you need to go back to the doctor or call them for different meds. If it’s the sinus’ doing that and the meds aren’t bothering you, then you need to keep up with the medicine and see if it can help you. Most meds won’t help right off, it takes awhile for it to affect your system.

if it did not clear up go back to that same doctor and let him recheck you and tell your doctor about how nauseous and gassy your stomach gets. Did he not give you refills

I eat foods that contain loads of garlic when I’m sick. Garlic seems to kill infections. Also, use a humidifier. You need that congestion to come out. If you do not have one then try this… Place a big pot of water on your stove and let it simmer. This will add moisture to the air in your house. If you want add scented oils for a great smell at the same time. In the mean time bear with it and eventually the infection will go away. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Go back to the doctor! Sometimes you have to be on antibiotics longer than other people. Also, there are different kinds of antibiotics. Some people respond better to some than others. Some people need a powerful antibiotic like the Z-pack.
Do you have a humidifier? My sinus infections have become less frequent since I started using a humidifier in my bedroom and in my office. I used to have several sinus infections every winter.
A nasal spray, just plain old saline water, can help, too.

Call your doctor. Sometimes certain antibiotics don’t work on certian people. they might have to put you on a diffrent one.
