You may have polyps. My son-in-law had them. Had two operations and they haven’t come back. He now uses a nettie pot twice a day and it has really helped. Check with your drug store, they probably carry it. I use it myself and it’s a real help.

Have you charted when this occurs? It is likely you have allergies to something airborne. This time of year is especially bad for pollen related allergies. Your doctor can test you for allergies and then make appropriate recommendations.

You do have an infection,but symptoms vary.l have very serious sinusitis but no running nose and it’s not fully blocked.
The MRI scan will definitely show the blockage.It usually treated with a 2 pill course.The serious blockages are deep in the nasal lining and only MRS will show.
It always returns though in spite of drugs,and managing it on a day to day basis is needed,ie recognising the triggers is essential.An operation to open further the nasal passages is the only permanent cure.
l lose my balance,hearing affected,vision affected,fever,depression,unable to get out of bed,very fatigued,and above all those damn enormous HEADACHES,but very little phlegm. l had a 23 day one without relief and hanging myself off one of Hampstead large trees was rather appealing.You do have sinus problems though. (lemsip the strongest will work if you stay still afterwards)

hi rachel, i do sympathise with you. i suffer from symptom like these and you can have them without it being an infection.
i have raging headaches and migraines, also neuralgia and pain across the bridge of my nose. with me, i know part of it is from hay fever but a lot of it is from stress. you can get some relief with some tissue salts from NEW ERA. they do combination remedies. you can get these from health shops. drink plenty of water as this helps wash all nasty stuff away. don’t forget it could very easily be an allergy.

What is a sinus headache?
Headaches literally mean aches in the head. Headaches can be caused by several different conditions. The common causes of headaches include poor vision, eye-strain, dental problems, neck problems, digestive problems and importantly sinus problems.

Do you feel pressure around your eyes, cheeks and forehead? If you have the above symptoms you are more than likely suffering from a sinus headache.
A sinus headache occurs when the sinuses and nasal passages become inflamed and congested, leading to a headache. The sinuses are the bony, air-filled cavities in the head that connect to the nose through small openings. When you get a cold, sinus infection or have an “allergy attack” these openings become blocked by excess mucus and may become infected. This infected mucus causes congestion, pressure and headaches. A Cat Scan was done and two sinus polyps were identified.
But when I undergone sinus surgery; the surgeon told me it was diffused nasal polyps. Thank God! Biopsy stated non-cancerous.
