You may not have had a true sinus infection but instead congestion due to allergies or a viral sinusitis. Or, to complicate things even more, the bacteria may have been resistant to Cipro. Overall, cipro is not a bad choice but not the first line treatment. I would recommend visiting your doctor and considering the idea that your congestion is not infectious in nature or trying a different antibiotic. Good luck.

90% of adult upper respiratory infections (sinusitis) are viral so antibiotics won’t help anyway. If you want to do a more natural approach liquid Elderberry extract is a good antiviral. I use it when I get a cold You can get it at most whole food stores, since it is a berry if your allergic to other berries be care full, I mix it with hot tea (chamomile and mint) with a little sweetener or honey yummy. Echinachia extract can also be added for an immune system boost. two dropper fulls each is what I use for the first cup and 1 dropper each after that.

Nasal irrigation is wonderful. Check out the Nasopure site at nasopure.com. I have allergies and asthma and had tried other nasal washes. I switched to Nasopure when my 4 year old son (5 now) needed to start the washes. He has significant sinus disease due to his Cystic Fibrosis and had to have 2 surgeries. The Nasopure system is so easy to use he can do it by himself. It already has the salt measured all you have to do is add the warm water. It is also very easy to clean. It is a great natural way to remove irritants from the nose and sinuses. I would highly reccemend this to anyone of any age.

I am experienced in respritory therapy and can tell you that the single most reliable way to accelerate healing in the sinus area is simply to drink at LEAST one liter (1/2 gallon) of water per day.
Chanting stuff in Arabic like the person before me will do nothing in regards to your healing. Please take the scientific view rather than a religious one.

I would start using a saline spray for your sinuses right now and use as much as you can. If you dont have a fever, most likely the sinus infection is gone, its just gonna take a few more days to go completely away.
I dont recommend taking more antibiotics. It can ruin your gut and your intestinal tract. It causes yeast to grow in women AND men.
I am living proof that yeast from too many antibiotics, can ruin your life. The bad thing is…you can begin to get really ill, the docs dont have a clue what is wrong. They deny that antibiotics will do this.
It almost killed me. I was sick for over 4 yrs before I found a doc that knew what was wrong. So, If I were you, Id give it more time. Also…Oregano Oil is a germ killer and has been proven to help kill the common cold and the flu. You can get some at GNC.
I hope you get to feeling better very soon.

Go in a pool with Chlorine, and swim somw laps, or if that doesn’t work, go to the Bahama, and breath some salty air, and swim in the salt water. THAT REALLY does it for ME!!
