Stop taking all that damaging stuff and rinse out your sinuses with warm salt water. This will kill the infection immediately. After, rinse with plain warm water and blow out the mucus. Don’t blow too hard or you will crack the delicate linings of the sinus cavities and will cause infection again. Get a humidifier for your bedroom and use it at night. This will keep your sinuses moist in the central heating and cooling. Stay away from antihistamines and nose sprays as they will dry you out and cause infection in the upper respiratory area. They will also cause dehydration of the organs-kidneys especially. This could lead to big problems later on in life. Did you know that the leading cause of death in the elderly is kidney failure due to too much medication over time? If you want to stop sinus infections, colds and flu symptoms, take a teaspoon of LOCAL honey each day. Besides these benefits, it will work with your body to keep you free of air born allergies like pollen, mold, dust, smog mildew and pet dander. Stay health NATURALLY-your body will thank you as you grow older.

I’m sorry to hear this. yes it is possible that your central can be effecting you. I would check it for mold, and make sure your filters have been replaced. you can take some ibuprofen for you pain. The hot showers and use only saline nasal sprays, DO NOT use the ones with medicine in them. Those will cause a rebound effect which is worse than the actually disease. That will take 2 -3 days to resolve.
You might have to see an allergist to see how severe your allergies are, they might be able to help you.

First of all, the nausea may be a side effect of your antibiotics, and not your sinus problem. Never take an antibiotic on an empty stomach. Don’t take them before breakfast or if it’s been more than a couple hours since you’ve eaten. If I take this kind of medication without eating first, I vomit and feel badly for a long time afterwards.
I’d back off of the nose sprays unless it’s a prescribed steroid. Also, don’t take anything with antihistamine in it. This can make the sinus pressure worse. If I were you I’d take your antibiotic (after eating), a decongestant and Tylenol or Advil. Nothing else. If you don’t see an improvement after a few days you may need a different antibiotic. Penicillin and that pink stuff (amoxcicillin or something like that) is not very effective with sinus infections.

Sinus infections take forever to go away. I don’t know if the sprays are good for you. Unless they are short-term prescriptions. Using them constantly is bad.
Try a warm wet washcloth draped over your eyes/ forehead for a while. It will help relieve some of the pressure. Good luck. I just got over one that lasted a month.

In allopathy as such there is no treatment for sinusitis. I too had the same problem …..I took homoeopathic treatment continously for 1 year from Dr. Shilpa Chawla- a renowned homoeopathic doctor.
You can contact her with your case details at doc.shilpa@yahoo.com
I am sure that it would help you

Have you ever tried a neti pot? It looks like a little tea pot and you use warm water and salt to wash out your sinuses. You can go to http://www.sinucleanse.com and look it up. You pour the water into your nose and it goes through your entire sinus passage and cleans it out and comes out of your other nostril. It sounds weird but it works wonders. There are many people who claim it was life changing.
