Sinus Surgery Soon Few Questions For You All ?
Posted by: Alan in Sinus Relief, tags: Questions, Sinus, Soon, SurgeryI have sinus surgery scheduled for november 6th the doctor says my left maxillary sinus is not draining properly due to an obstruction that needs to be scraped out… I have had sinus infections for a year straight without little relief from antibiotics…. my question is that I had a plan to take a few zpaks on and off until the surgery which is over a month away… i just dont know will this work in fixing sinusitis that is chronic the operation ?
My other concern is what do i do until then because Ive lived with them for a year straight but the zpaks do nothing to alleviate my congestion, light headedness, dizziness, and nasal drip….. what can i do until the surgery to feel a little more comfortable !?!?! I pray this works

A mild steroid spray like “Nasonex” might help till you have the surgery, or nasal irrigation (a quarter tsp bicarbonate of soda, quarter tsp pure sea salt without anti-caking additives to a pint of water – squirt up nose at night) – there is a web site about nasal irrigation if you want to read about it. There is a sea salt spray which you can buy from the chemist (French in origin) – afraid it can’t be prescribed.
The surgery is day surgery and very quick and straightforward but be prepared for nasal bleeding for up to a week after. They can’t promise it will be successful for your chronic sinusitis and nasal drip.
