Claritin D always works so good for me, and it doesnt make me sleepy. But it has to be D. Also I clean out my sinus with salt water. Its has to be a little warm and very little salt. I use one of those blue nose sucker thingies for babies and stick the end in one nostril and squeeze it till it comes out the other one. I know that sounds weird but it gets rid of ALL of the snot and kills the bacteria. I do it every morning. When I have an infection i do it everything i get stuffy. youll have to lean your head to the side and keep a rag handy along with some thing to blow your nose with. It feels weird when you do it but you will be amazed of what all comes out. Sometimes if you are really stopped up you will have to squeeze the salt water concoction pretty hard to “blast through the barricade”

My husband uses this to keep from getting bronchitis, and I use to to cure sinus infections. THere are many kinds of bacteria that live in the sinuses, and this gets rid of all the bad ones!.This is the only thing that really helped me — my Dr. told me about a sinus wash that will kill bacteria.
you need
distilled water
sea salt
liquid chlorophyll and colloidal silver from the health food store.
in a glass mix 1/4 cup water with a pinch of salt and heat to body temperature.
add 5 drops each silver and chlorophyll and mix.
using a large dropper (like one used for infant medication) drop 2 full droppersfull into one side of the nose while laying down.
Turn the head and let it drain out the other nostril. Be sure to have paper towels handy.
The silver kills the bacteria and there are several hundred kind that can live in the sinus cavities and anti biotics don’t get rid of them all.
Do this twice a day for a week, mixing up the mixture fresh each time.
Then do it once a week for maintenance.
There is nothing in this that will hurt you, and it cured me.
I do not have to take claritin, or antibiotics anymore.
best wishes

I love my neti pot and recommend nasal irrigation all the time! No, it’s not exactly killer party conversation but good habits w/ the sinuses can go a long way toward good health.
I am a huge believer in natural cures, and in not jumping to meds or surgery too quickly. However I must say that if things get to the “chronic” stage don’t mess around. See your doctor and then if you get a ct scan make sure you know all your options (it used to be that sinus surgery was the only option. but now there are less invasive choices like balloon sinuplasty).
That’s my two cents. Take care everybody and keep those nasal passages clean!
