try a neti pot. They sell them at CVS or Walgreens. You fill it with warm salt water and pour it thru your nose to clear your sinuses- very helpful and they cost about 12-14 bucks so cheap and easy to do at home.

I read all the other answers and I like the first one best. I heard the radio dj talking about how well it works. But I think good ol antibiotics is the way to go. Go to the Doc!!

yes but it is not for the faint-hearted. i had done it as a kid ( was made to really!) take a solution of sea salt and water. about 2 teaspoons of sea salt to cup of water, or less to begin with. put your nose down into a bowl and actually INHALE i.e. pull in water with your nose. then spit it out of your mouth.
works like magic, better than antibiotics, but.. is a bit involved as you can tell. best done with seawater in teh sea if you can get to a warm one nearby! good luck!

My mother used to have us snort salt water up our noses.
mix 2 tablespoons salt in a cup of warm water. dip your fingers into the salt water and snort it, like a nasal spray. Try three times a day for about 2 days.
