The medications are not working since it’s only been 1.5 days with meds so far. I have had this terrible, excrutiating pain for 6 days total and I cant deal with it! Its really bad and nothing is working. What do I do? I am not going to the emergency room. DO NOT POST UNNECCASSARY ANSWERS OR ANSWERS UNRELATED TO THE QUESTION OR I WILL REPORT YOU!!

I can relate I had the same thing 2 days and could hardly open my mouth the pain was so bad. First thing I did was to take a hot shower to open up the airway a little and to breath in the steam. This helps a little. Then get a hot water compress as hot as you can stand without burning your skin and put it in the area of the worst pain. Leave it there for about 15 minutes it feels better immediately when you do this but it doesn’t last because as soon as it is removed it hurts again. Take Advil for the pain along with the meds as long as they don’t already include pain killers ( call the pharmacy to make sure it is alright to take.)
It should feel better by tomorrow, so sorry you have to deal with this I am feeling better but man it hurt like he**.

It may take several days to zap your sinus infection because it sounds like it was pretty bad. If you don’t feel *any* difference in a couple days call your doctor again. You may need a different anti-biotic.
Drink plenty of water and get lots of sleep. You can take ibuprofen or over the counter sinus stuff for the pain and pressure.
I hope you feel better soon! Sinus stuff sucks!

Okey dokey, try eating a really hot curry and that should get ur sinusis going. Inhale steam several times a day to which you should add either Vick Vapour or Olbas oil or any menthol/eucalyptus oil. Do this sort of every 2 hours. That should help the phlegm to start moving. Drink water because that will thin the phelgm and getting it moving as well.

Try taking some over the counter nasal spray it will help unclog your nose…only use it every 10 to 12 hrs as directed.
Take ibuprofen for your pain…if it doesn’t help 2hrs later you can take a couple tylenol.
Rub vicks on your chest at night before you go to bed…it will help congestion.

I suffer from Sinus infection form time time. What worked for me is:
Taking a dip in the ocean – Salt Water will kill all bacteria
Go to a steam room and add menthol/eucalyptus oil
don’t forget decongestant
