Fasting water only day 3 (& my sinus infection is gone! :)
Posted by: Alan in Sinus Infection, tags: Fasting, gone, Infection, Only, Sinus, water
I woke up this morning and my soar throat is completely gone…no yellow sinus drainage & my lymph node is no longer swollen or painful to touch. I am very pleased with the results of this fast. Most of the time when we are coming down with a cold or infection we usually lose our appetite…this makes me think that our body is trying to tell us to focus on healing instead of digestion. I will be breaking my fast today. I will update you in a few days just to let everyone know how I am feeling. Instead of going to the doctor when falling ill I recommend trying this approach next time!
The antibiotics I was prescribed in the past kept getting stronger and stronger over the years, so I wanted to break this cycle by exercising my own immune system. It worked.
i had the funkiest thing in my house SO I THOUGHT it was my sinus infection the whole time and i painted some new art

@kleinphi
awesome! Thanks for your help
I actually just bought some raw sunflower seeds…I am going to sprout them as soon as I am done with my mung beans in a few days
Next time I will pick up raw organic sesame seeds because I know I saw them at the store too. I love to sprout things, but i’ve been hesitant to buy anything to sprout other than when it is specifically labeled for sprouting…but I will do some experimenting and see what works
Thanks.

There’s only one way to find out. I have tried to sprout lots of different bulk seeds, and most of them will sprout. I never found oats that sprout, and rice is sometimes dead, but things like buckwheat, sesame, wheat, spelt, will usually sprout. I am referring to organic bulk seeds, haven’t tried conventional ones.

Thank you so much for your comment…it is very helpful indeed! I just got back from the grocery store, Whole Foods Market, & your comment about sprouting grains is interesting because I was just wondering if I could buy them (spelt, buckwheat, quinoa, etc) in bulk and then sprout them myself. Will this work or do I need to buy special seeds to sprout them (if so, where do I get these sproutable seeds)? I’m just wary of things being labeled ‘raw’ when in fact they aren’t…

Nice! We don’t really need to eat grains, but if you feel like it, you can eat sprouts (rice, wheat, spelt, etc) raw without dehydrating them. FYI: Vitamin B12 is not made by any plant or animal, only by microorganisms. Factory farm animals get it the same way you do: supplementation of their feed. Plants grown in healthy, living soil contain adequate amounts of vitamin B12, but I agree with you: In this world we can’t rely on that, because our soil is no longer as healthy as it could be.
